Anton Molnár’s exhibition in San Marino
The Republic of San Marino hosts at SUMS Palace the paintings of the Hungarian artist Anton Molnár from 19th September to 22nd November
Anton Molnár was born in Budapest in 1957, where he attended the Hungarian Academy of Arts, receiving a classical education. Starting from his studies of painting, art history and anatomy, the artist develops his own poetics, based on a mixture of styles and techniques. Through the interaction between painting and sculpture Molnàr looks for a new form of artistic expression, connotated with the signs of different cultures, coming from his own life experiences. From 1988 the artist is settled in France, where he is particularly famous. Molinàr’s works have been exhibited in New York, Tokyo, Singapore and in Italy. Many of them belong to private collections.
Organized by the Ambassador France Majoje-Le Lous, the exhibition hosted in San Marino gives the possibility to take an emotional journey through the vivid colours of Molnàr’s paintings. From 19th September to 22nd November 2015, art lovers and collectors will have the opportunity to appreciate more than 20 paintings of the Hungarian artist: portraits, still-life paintings and works representing travels and towns of the world. Particularly valuable are those paintings celebrating objects and symbols of the Repubblic of San Marino such as the one dedicated to the Feast Day of the Republic of San Marino and of its foundation on 3rd September.
